Those looking for employment from the Shelby County Sheriff's Office can now apply to become a corrections deputy.
The office said they are "looking for people to answer the call" and enlist in a 12-week training class. Those with a high school diploma, over the age of 18 with a valid driver's licence can apply.
The Shelby County Sheriff's Office (SCSO) said that the salary begins at $3,816/month ($45,798/year) for entry pay and reportedly rises to $4,875/month ($58,506/year) after five years.
A $5,000 incentive bonus is also reportedly available. The SCSO said they are not requiring a physical agility test for this process.
