MEMPHIS, Tenn. — More than a year after a man died on I-240 after his car was shot up coming back from a concert, Memphis Police are still looking for his killer, and CrimeStoppers is bumping up the reward to find him.
Memphis and Shelby County CrimeStoppers offered a $10,000 award for information that leads to a charge or arrest in the shooting death of Ragan Martin the night of August 21, 2022.
Martin, 26, was a passenger in a Ford pickup truck when dozens of shots were fired from a black sedan on the Perkins Road ramp onto I-240 just after midnight. CrimeStoppers said more than 30 bullets tore into the truck. Three of the four occupants in the truck were hit by gunfire. Ragan died at the scene. The other two injured were treated at a hospital and released.
The four had left a rap concert on Perkins Road just before the shooting.
“We believe more than one person knows about this murder,” said David Wayne Brown, executive director of CrimeStoppers. “We’re asking for the public’s help in this case.”
CrimeStoppers asked that anyone with information to call (901) 528-CASH (2274). Any information that leads to a warrant for an arrest in the case could mean a $10,000 cash award.
