A Cross County deputy, with the help of Wynne, Arkansas, police, made a huge drug bust while on routine weekend patrol. It happened about 1:15 a.m. Sunday morning.
The deputy says he spotted a Lincoln Town Car with a passenger not wearing a seatbelt. He tried to pull over the car, but the driver didn’t stop. He says he contacted Wynne police to help him stop the vehicle.
Once stopped, the deputy searched the car, and found 34.1 grams of meth, known as ice, $847.09 in cash, along with scales and a gun.
Three people were arrested. The driver, Joshua Mitchell, is charged with fleeing, drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia. His bond was set at $50,000. Passenger Justin Scott is charged with possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia, and not wearing a seat belt. His bond is set at $50,000. Passenger Lisa Paige Ranson is charged with possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia. She also has a bond of $50,000.
