LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas — The Democratic Party of Arkansas has unanimously voted to support Vice President Kamala Harris for the 2024 Presidential bid.
Delegates met virtually on Monday night to discuss who they wanted to see on the ballot. While the party closed the meeting to the media, we received a statement after.
They had a roll call to decide an endorsement where everyone voted for Vice President Harris.
"No one is better prepared than Vice President Harris to prosecute the case against Donald Trump and articulate how Democrats are working for a Better Arkansas. At this critical time in our nation’s history, the Vice President is prepared, poised, and right out of the gate demonstrating how strong she will be as our nominee," said Grant Tennille, Chairman of the Democratic Party of Arkansas.
This comes after Vice President Harris kicked off her first full day of her presidential campaign.
After gaining the backing of every Democratic governor and dozens of lawmakers, Vice President Harris began making what she calls the political case against former President Donald Trump.
''Donald Trump wants to take our country backward, to a time before many of our fellow Americans had full freedoms and rights, but we believe in a brighter future that makes room for all Americans.," said Vice President Harris.
Little Rock Mayor Frank Scott Jr. and both Bill and Hillary Clinton also endorsed the Vice President for the nomination.
The Democratic Party of Arkansas plans to hold another meeting on Tuesday where they will speak to the media.
