A cozy coffee spot in the historic South Main arts district has announced that it will be closing it's doors.
Vice & Virtue Coffee will be ceasing operations as soon as Tuesday, April 30, 2024, according to the shop's Instagram account. The establishment released a statement to their "cherished community" that is as follows:
We want to express our sincerest thanks to each and every one of you who have made this journey possible. Your unwavering support, loyalty and passion for great coffee have been the lifeblood of our business. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being a part of the Vice & Virtue family.
The memories we’ve shared, the conversations had over steaming cups of coffee, and the connections forged in our cafe will forever be cherished. We are eternally grateful for the relationships we’ve built and the moments we’ve experienced together.
While this chapter may be coming to a close, we are pleased to announce that we have worked diligently with the Arrive Hotel to ensure that the cafe within their establishment will remain open with as much continuity as possible. Our goal is to minimize any interruption of service so that you can continue to enjoy the quality coffee and warm ambiance that you’ve come to love.
We understand that this news may come as a surprise and may evoke a range of emotions. Please know that this decision was made after careful consideration, and our commitment to quality and service remains unwavering until the very end.
Once again, thank you for being a part of our journey. We hope to see you in the cafe at the Arrive Hotel as we navigate this transition together.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Tim & Teri
It was also announced in March that the site of former college-area coffee spot Avenue Coffee will be converted into a location for restaurant "Uncle Red's Turkey Legs" by organization Tandem Restaurant Partners.
