MEMPHIS, Tenn. — One person is dead and another recovering in the hospital after a car crashed into a tree early Friday morning in Memphis' Vollintine-Evergreen neighborhood.
Memphis Police said they responded to the crash at Jackson Avenue and North Evergreen Street just before 2 a.m. Friday.
There, they found a white Ford Mustang which had crashed into a tree. The driver was pronounced dead on the scene. A passenger was taken to Regional One Hospital in non-critical condition.
Police are currently investigating what caused the car to crash into the tree.
