$8.9 million dollars in repair funds for Elvis Presley Blvd. see reinstatement

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Plans to make improvements along the middle section of Elvis Presley Blvd. are underway as funding for the project has been fully reinstated.

The $8.9 million in funding will improve critical infrastructure along Elvis Presley Blvd, from South of Winchester Rd. to Craft Rd. according to the City of Memphis, who announced the reinstatement of funds Thursday, September 26. The obligation of the funding was confirmed by the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT).

Officials say the reinstatement of this funding marks a significant milestone in the ongoing efforts to enhance and improve road conditions, bringing a positive impact to the region, especially within the Whitehaven community.
