Sherra Wright’s ex-boyfriend released a new book revealing what life was like with her before she was arrested for the murder of her ex-husband Lorenzen Wright.
Kelvin Cowans was at Crosstown Concourse Saturday to promote his book “The Whispering Woods of Sherra Wright.”
Wright and Cowans met while he was working on a story about the five year anniversary of former Memphis basketball star Lorenzen Wright’s murder.
That story led to a two-year relationship which is the subject of his book.
“It’s a lot of twists and turns in there. It’s a lot of, you know, they say hindsight is 20/20. It’s a lot of that going on in it. I think that the city who have been at an unrest for 7 years about the murder of our hero, Lorenzen Wright, I think it’s some things in there that they would like to know about,” said Cowans.
Cowan’s book details his relationship with Sherra Wright’s relationship, Lorenzen’s money, and Billy Ray Turner, Wright’s accused co-conspirator.
Wright and Turner both are in jail on murder charges.
