OXFORD, Miss. (localmemphis.com) – The family of a murdered mother in Oxford, Mississippi, plans to file a wrongful death lawsuit against the city.
In a notice of claim revealed Monday, relatives of Dominique Clayton are asking for $5-million from the city of Oxford and the former officer charged with killing her, Matthew Kinne.
They say Clayton’s death has caused the family emotional pain and anguish.
She was found dead in her home by her 8-year-old last month. The autopsy report has not been released.
