Memphis Tigers release fan information for 2024 football season

With phase two construction currently underway, fans can expect to see a number of changes around the venue.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Memphis Tigers are preparing to return to Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium (SBLS) for the 2024 football season. With phase two of construction currently underway, fans can expect to see several changes around the venue.

According to the University of Memphis (U of M) athletic department, all demolition for phase two at SBLS has been completed, and there is no current danger from falling objects.

The stadium will remain accessible to all as Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) platforms and lower bowl chairback seats have been separated from the construction area.

What fans need to know:

Tickets

Tickets are fully digital. Memphis football fans can see the Tigers at SBSL in the team's season opener on Saturday, Aug. 31. Single-game tickets for the 2024 season can be found at THIS LINK.

Fans can also purchase season tickets at HERE, in person at the Memphis Ticket Office or by calling the office at (901) 678-2331.

Parking & shuttles

Gameday parking lots are card only.

Parking will not be affected this season and shuttle service will remain the same as in the past.

Season parking passes are digital and will be scanned at the entrance of each parking lot.

Parking lot opening times vary based on the game's kickoff time:

  • 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. kickoff: parking lots open at 6 a.m.
  • 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. kickoff: parking lots open at 8 a.m.
  • 6 p.m. or later kickoff: parking lots open at 10 a.m.

Stadium entry & gate access

All gates at SBLS are scheduled to open 90 minutes before kickoff. Fans will no longer be wanded by security as magnetometers will now be located at every gate entry

While renovations are ongoing at SBLS, Gates 4 & 5 will be unavailable to access for entry into the stadium. 

The other four gates will remain fully functional, including Gate 1, 2, 3 and 6. 

The U of M student gate will now be located at Gate 6 (previously Gate 4).

Tiger Lane & tailgate

The new Tiger Tailgate area is here! The meeting point for all fans to enjoy the pregame festivities on Tiger Lane, will continue to feature a large-screen TV, along with food trucks, beer sales, seating and tables.

Kid Zone will continue to stay in a larger area to accommodate more inflatables for children as well as a football field for kids.

Tiger Walk will continue to take place on Tiger Lane, 2.5 hours before kickoff.

In-game features & updates

"Release the Tigers" presented by Dillard Door & Entrance Control, is back and will use the locker room garage door with the Tiger head inflatable located on Tiger Lane for photo opportunities. 

The Mighty Sound of the South, the U of M Marching Band will now be in Section 129.

The Memphis football team will continue to operate from the west sideline, but all on-field performances and recognitions will now face the east sideline.

Concourse enhancements

A 20-foot walkway has been created behind the west side chairbacks to provide fans with easier access to and from their seats during renovations. 

Cool down misting fans will also be available on the concourse at Sections 115 & 128.

For fan safety along the west side of the stadium, barricades and fencing will provide a buffer blocking off the construction zone.

Concessions

All concessions will remain CASHLESS.

Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium will continue to offer a variety of concessions stand options, with some new additions.

Restrooms

Restrooms will be available on both the northwest and southwest concourses.

  • Sections 112/113, 118/119, 121/122, 127/128
  • Additional porta john's will be located near sections 131 & 109

Medic/First aid

The medical and first aid tent will be at Gate 6, Section 121.
