If you build it, they will come. That’s a line from the classic movie “Field of Dreams.” Dozens of kids got a chance to live out their dreams Monday night at Snowden Grove in Southaven, thanks in part to the Center Hill High School baseball team.
The Field of Dreams was built in 2003 to provide a haven for young people with special needs and disabilities to play out their dreams on a specially equipped diamond.
The field has a rubberized surface to cushion any falls and to also make wheelchair movement easy. They don’t keep score and every play is applauded.
The Olive Branch High School Interact Club and Desoto Central Middle Cheer will also be hosting Field of Dreams this month and next.
