MEMPHIS, Tenn. — According to the Memphis Fire Department (MFD), a fire at the Austin Peay Walmart caused $2 million in damages on Sunday, April 14.
Around 3 p.m., MFD responded to a fire at the Walmart on 3950 Austin Peay, Memphis Fire said.
The fire was intentionally set inside the store in the artificial flowers aisle, according to MFD.
Memphis Fire said the building suffered $10,000 in damages, and there was $2 million in damages done to the contents inside the store.
There were no civilian or firefighter injuries, MFD said.
Memphis Fire released photos of the arson suspect.
