MEMPHIS, Tenn — A house fire broke out early Tuesday morning in Midtown, shutting down a road.
The fire happened in the area of Hollywood Street and Union Avenue. The Memphis Police Department said officers received a call about the fire around 5:30 a.m. on July 16, 2024.
The Memphis Fire Department said a woman inside the house had made it out safely and no one was hurt. The entire house was not burned.
Union Avenue will remain closed in the area for part of the morning, MFD said.
