MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A fire broke out Friday morning at an apartment in Downtown Memphis, then apparently rekindled the same afternoon.
The Memphis Fire Department (MFD) responded to the fire the morning of April 5 on South Main Street, near Doctor M.L.K. Jr Avenue and East Pontotoc Avenue. First responders extinguished the fire and blocked traffic in the area.
According to MFD, there were no injuries reported.
ABC24 crews in Downtown Memphis said MFD was back on the scene Friday afternoon after the fire rekindled.
Investigators have not yet said what caused the fire.
