MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A firefighter is injured after a building caught on fire early Tuesday morning in Hyde Park.
The Memphis Fire Department (MFD) responded to the scene Feb. 27 around 5:15 a.m. in the 2200 block of Chelsea Avenue at a building west of Hollywood Street, near the intersection of Chelsea Avenue and Boxwood Street.
MFD said first responders had the fire under control just before 6 a.m.
One firefighter was injured and taken to the hospital with non-critical injuries, according to MFD.
According to Google Maps the building used to be a restaurant and was turned into a church, but it is unclear what the structure is now.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, MFD said.
