MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Two firefighters were taken to the hospital Monday, Nov. 26, after battling a housefire in Barton Heights.
Around 7 p.m., Memphis Fire arrived at a home on Berea St., where a family of three were standing outside of their home that had caught fire.
An MFD spokesperson said firefighters were able to control the flames within 20 minutes.
Two firefighters were taken to the hospital in non-critical condition, according to MFD officials.
The family is displaced after the fire, and MFD is providing them with Red Cross assistance, according to an MFD spokesperson.
MFD did not disclose the cause of the fire at this time.
