Three former FedEx workers in Memphis are facing federal charges for stealing mail.
Kimberly Smith, Tiara Williams and Crystal Berry were indicted for taking mail intended for religious organizations.
According to U.S. Attorney Mike Dunavant’s office, throughout 2015 the women worked in the same area at the Memphis FedEx hub.
They targeted mail meant for religious groups because they likely had cash.
The maximum penalty for mail theft is five years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
