Memphis Police said they've arrested four people after multiple robberies that spanned April and May 2024.

Officers said they responded at about 7 p.m. to La Michoacana at 4075 Summer Avenue on April 14 to the robbery of an individual person. Police were told that a woman who was carrying her one-year-old child was pushed to the ground by a man who took her diaper bag and other items before running away.

This man was in all-black clothing, according to the account told to the Memphis Police Department (MPD).

Police then responded to the Aldi store at 4720 Summer Avenue on May 25 regarding another robbery of another person. Officers were told that two women were walking to their vehicle when a man physically assaulted them and pulled one of them out of the vehicle.

Various items were taken out of the vehicle before he left the scene in another vehicle — a black Pontiac Grand Am that had two other suspects in it. This vehicle was reportedly found by police at the Grahamwood Place Apartments in the 4000 block of St. Pierre Boulevard.

Officers said they saw a black ski mask on the floorboard of this vehicle. It was then towed to the City Lot to be processed, according to MPD. Officers were reportedly approached by another man at the apartments who said he was robbed by this person.

On May 27, officers said they responded to the Walgreens at 3177 South Perkins Road regarding another robbery, according to MPD. Officers were told that a woman was robbed by two men who assaulted her and took her purse. A witness told police that they chased one of the suspects. This suspect was later identified as Calvin Langston, according to MPD.

The witness held the suspect until officers arrived, according to MPD. This suspect was taken into custody, according to MPD.

On May 28, 25-year-old Angelica Washington, 18-year-old Deshun Lewis, 19-year-old Denisha Lewis and 18-year-old Langston were all developed as suspects for these armed robberies, according to MPD.

Officers said they executed a search warrant on the Pontiac at the City Lot on May 29 and recovered the black ski mask and wallet associated with the Aldi case. Investigators also executed a search warrant at Lewis' residence on St. Pierre Boulevard, according to MPD.

Both Deshun Lewis and Denisha Lewis were arrested and the search yielded stolen property and clothing work by Lewis during the robberies, according to MPD.
