Grand opening held for new Fire Station 43 in Whitehaven

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A new Memphis fire station opened Wednesday morning in Whitehaven.

Station 43 held a ribbon cutting grand opening. The station is on East Holmes Road.

Memphis Fire Chief Gina Sweat said this was a team effort in getting the building in the location, and it will be a big benefit for the community.

There is also a room that will house meetings for the community.
