A piece of history is returning to Germantown. In celebration of the 70th annual Germantown Charity Horse Show, the iconic “horses 10” speed limit signs are going up throughout the city as a nod to Germantown’s rich equestrian history.
One of 25 commemorative signs is available for each $1,000 donation to the Germantown Education Foundation.
“When I was a kid growing up in the 70’s here in Germantown, these signs were very prevalent in our central business district and throughout the old Germantown area,” said Mayor Mike Palazzolo. “Back in that era a lot of horse farms. Today we still have horse farms but only a handful.”
The Germantown Charity Horse Show will be held June 5th through the 9th.
