SHELBY COUNTY, Tenn. — A person is injured and a home is now destroyed Wednesday morning after a fire broke out in southeast Shelby County.
The Shelby County Fire Department arrived at the scene around 12:30 a.m. on Baysweet Drive in the Richwood neighborhood, having the fire under control about an hour later. They were assisted by the Germantown Fire Department.
A county fire department official said one person was injured but is expected to be okay. No firefighters were hurt.
The cause of the fire has not been determined as of yet.
