MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis residents' garbage collection will be delayed because of Independence Day, and some may need to leave their garbage cart out until Saturday.
The City of Memphis said trash will not be picked up on July 4. Trash day will be Friday, July 5, for people who usually have their garbage picked up on Thursdays. If collectors have not taken your trash, the city is asking for you to leave the cart out until Saturday.
For those served by Team Waste, garbage collection will be delayed by one day. Thursday's collection will occur Friday, and the Friday collection will happen Saturday.
