JPD arrests fugitive and seizes supply of weapons

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A violent fugitive is in custody thanks to the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS), Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), and Jackson Police Department (JPD).

JPD responded to a shooting on Oct. 11, in Chapel Ridge Apartments and found two people injured from gunshot wounds. Quoterrius Osler, 24, was determined to be responsible for this crime by JPD. 

A warrant was issued for Osler's arrest for attempted first degree murder. The USMS Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force in Jackson TN, was asked to help in finding and arresting Osler. 

Deputy Marshals, ATF agents, and JPD officers took Osler into custody at a house in the 50 block of Point O' Woods Drive on Friday, Oct. 24. During a search of the property, investigators recovered seven firearms, including one equipped with a "Glock switch," a device that converts the firearm into a fully automatic weapon.
