MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man is dead following a pedestrian crash Wednesday morning on Lamar Avenue.
The Memphis Police Department responded to the incident July 31, 2024, just before 6 a.m. on Lamar Avenue between Perkins Road and Winchester Road. There, officers found a man dead.
Investigators said the man had been standing on the rear of a truck before falling and getting hit.
An investigation is underway and drivers are asked to avoid the area for now.
