SHELBY CO., Tenn. (localmemphis.com) — If you’re looking for some of the best high schools in the state, you don’t have to go out of Shelby County.
Houston High School in the Germantown Municipal School District, Collierville High School, and White Station High School from Shelby County Schools are highly-ranked according to a new study by U.S. News & World Report.
Houston was ranked number 10 in Tennessee (and 769 nationally), Collierville number 12 in Tennessee (and 1,105 nationally), and White Station was 14th in the state (and 1,277 nationally).
The publication looked at over 17,200 schools across the country. Houston and White Station both offer Advanced Placement courses and AP testing. 47% of students at White Station take AP classes, 48% at Collierville, and 52% do at Houston.
