The Local I-Team has learned a felony arrest warrant is now issued for the owner of an Orange Mound tax preparation shop. For weeks we’ve been telling you about Pia Sims.
Police are now looking for Sims to pick her up on a warrant for theft.
Anthony Elmore says Sims scammed him in February using the fake name, Heidi Jefferson.
Elmore says Sims ordered $2600 worth of carpet for her tax preparation shop then used a bogus credit card too pay for the bill.
Elmore isn’t alone, according to police reports, Sims has left a trail of victims.
The owner of an appliance store says she bilked him out of $14,000 using the same fake name.
In addition, she is currently facing identity theft charges, for using a stolen credit card to buy 20 thousand dollars’ worth of appliances.
Elmore’s happy a warrant for Sims arrest was issued in connection to his case but has a feeling her arrest won’t be the end of the Sims story.
“I thought it was great news she makes a great story in fact she is so good they should make a story the saga, the adventure of the great Pia Sims,” said Anthony Elmore, victim.
