HARDEMAN CO., Tenn. (localmemphis.com) – A near record-breaking snake –who met an untimely end– will now help educate people about venomous snakes.
A giant copperhead measured 49 1/2 long, just three inches shy of the world record. Copperheads normally reach only 24 to 36 inches in length. This snake was run over in Hardeman County, Tennessee. The snake was donated to the state’s wildlife resources agency and will be put on display.
