The Shelby County Sheriff's Office (SCSO) said Kaylon Blackmond was found with one kilogram of fentanyl as well as five grams of fentanyl on him at the time of arrest.

A search warrant was carried out in the 9700 block of Royal Chartres Square, according to the SCSO. There, 25 grams of fentanyl were found as well as two pistols and a stolen revolver.

In addition to be charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to manufacture, deliver or sell and possession of drug paraphernalia, Blackmond was charged with theft of property between $1,000 to $2,500, according to the SCSO.
