The man accused in a double homicide in Shelby County back in June remains in jail on a $2 million bond.
Michael Cullum was arrested Sunday and charged with first degree murder in connection with the deaths of Rhonda Bishop-Dukes and Brenda Dukes.
Records show Cullum lived across the street from the couple.
On June 6th, the women’s bodies were found inside their home. According to an affidavit, the two were shot to death.
The affidavit also shows Cullum told witnesses he left the crime scene but returned once he realized no one heard the gunshots and stole pain meds from the victims.
Cullum is due back in court next week.
