Man in critical condition after hit-and-run crash, police say

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man is in critical condition after a hit-and-run crash on Saturday, Aug. 17, the Memphis Police Department (MPD) says.

Officers responded to a critical pedestrian crash around 10 p.m. on Quince Road west of S. Perkins Road.

According to MPD an unknown driver struck a pedestrian and then fled the scene, leaving a man critically injured. 

Car involved in the hit-and-run was identified as a dark blue Volkswagen SUV, possibly a Tiguan. The front passenger side of the SUV is damaged.

MPD say it was last seen going westbound on Quince Road from S. Perkins Road.

No arrest has been made at this time. 

According to MPD this is an ongoing investigation.
