MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man is dead following a hit-and-run accident on Friday night, October 3, according to the Memphis Police Department (MPD).
Police responded to a fatal hit-and-run crash at Park Avenue near Maywood Street just after 10 p.m.
MPD reports that the victim was crossing Park Avenue when a white truck, traveling westbound, struck him. The driver briefly stopped, looked back at the victim, and then fled the scene, last seen heading west on Park Avenue.
The victim died from his injuries on the scene, according to MPD.
Currently, there is no additional information about the driver or the vehicle involved. Police urge anyone with information about the incident to contact Crime Stoppers at 528-CASH.
Investigators are seeking assistance in identifying the individual(s) responsible for this vehicular homicide. No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
