MEMPHIS, Tennessee — A man was rescued from a house fire Tuesday morning.
According to the Memphis Fire Department, the fire at a triplex at 1247 Harbert Avenue just west of Central Gardens started at 10:22am. The fire, which was caused by food left unattended on a stove in one of the apartments, was out 10 minutes later but not before causing about $55,000 worth of damage. A cat and dog died in the fire. No firefighters were injured.
