Memphis City Council postpones vote on resolution against Byhalia Pipeline

This is the second time the committee has postponed the resolution against the crude oil pipeline through southwest Memphis.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A Memphis City Council committee postponed voting on a resolution against the Byhalia Pipeline until their attorney could meet with representatives for the pipeline and MLGW.

This is the second time the committee has postponed the resolution against the crude oil pipeline through southwest Memphis.

Those against the pipeline marched to city hall Tuesday to urge the council to approve the resolution. They said they will return for the next vote.

In March, the Memphis City Council is considering a resolution that would oppose the Byhalia Connection Pipeline and the benefits it brings this community. Please write to your city councilmembers to tell them to consider the facts and vote no on the resolution.
