MEMPHIS, Tenn. — After MLGW issued a boil water advisory for all customers, ABC24 began to reach out to hospital in Memphis to see how they are being affected by this order.

Baptist Memorial Hospital said they have contingency plans to ensure they "provide safe and quality care."

"Earlier today, we proactively rescheduled elective surgeries and procedures when we noticed a change in water pressure at our hospital. We regularly monitor our water pressure," a spokesperson for Baptist said.

They added that the hospital maintains direct communication with Memphis Light, Gas and Water about any issues.

"We will continue to monitor the situation and make decisions to ensure we provide safe and high-quality care for Shelby County," they said.

According to Methodist Le Bonheur, they have contingency plans in place, including bringing in water tankers, hand-washing stations and extra bottled water to continue caring for their patients. They said there is "no disruption to care at this time" and that they are continuing to monitor the situation.

ABC24 has reached out to St. Francis Hospital, but we have not received a response.
