MEMPHIS, Tenn. — An infant is dead after being attacked by two dogs on Friday, August 9, 2024, according to the Memphis Police Department (MPD).
Just before 5:20 p.m., officers responded to the Cedar Run Apartments regarding two dogs attacking a child.
MPD says the dogs were still attacking the child when officers made the scene.
An officer fired his weapon and shot the dogs.
The child was transported to an area hospital in critical condition and was pronounced dead on Saturday, August 10.
This is an ongoing investigation.
