The Memphis Italian Festival got underway Thursday at Marquette Park in East Memphis.
It is the Festival’s 30th year. In addition to great food, there is live entertainment, games, and friendly competitions including grape stomping.
The big contest is Saturday when cooking teams compete for the title of best spaghetti gravy.
Local 24 anchor Richard Ransom is one of the judges.
Admission is $10, but children 10 and under are admitted free.
