Police say the search continues for one of the three men involved

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A Memphis teen is facing adult felony charges for the armed carjacking of a DoorDash driver at Poke World, 5142 Goodman Rd., in Olive Branch.

According to the DeSoto DA's Office, on May 12, 2024, around 8 p.m., two teens, aged 16 and 13, and an 18-year old, from Memphis, wore ski masks and used pepper spray to attack and steal the victim's vehicle, at gunpoint.

The 16-year-old will now be prosecuted as an adult and is facing serious felony charges in DeSoto County.

The 13-year-old will be charged in youth court in connection with the carjacking.

"I am immensely proud of the dedication and effectiveness shown by my investigators and the Olive Branch Police Department in ensuring that this criminal was brought back to DeSoto County to face the full consequences of his actions,' said District Attorney Matthew Barton. "To those in Memphis considering criminal acts in our community, think again; we will relentlessly pursue those who threaten the safety and security of our communities."

The adult suspect being sought, identified as Courtney Fleming, is still at large and is also facing felony charges.
