A Memphis man was shot and killed over the weekend in Southeast Missouri.
Investigators say, 34-year-old Edward Palmer from Memphis was shot by 24-year-old Charles Selvy, Jr. Saturday night in front of 2 North Main Street in Cape Girardeau.
According to witnesses, Palmer and Selvy got into an argument after leaving a bar in Downtown Cape. Based on witnesses and video surveillance, that argument eventually escalated to a physical fight, which led to Palmer being shot.
Selvy is charged with Second Degree Murder and Armed Criminal Action. He’s in jail on $750,000 bond.
