MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Police identified the man they found dead Sunday morning outside of his home was a former officer, and friends and family are coming out to honor and remember him Tuesday.
Memphis officers responded to a man-down call Sunday morning at the 4200 block of Falcon Drive, where they found one man dead on the scene, according to the Memphis Police Department (MPD).
Tuesday, MPD identified the man as Mark LeSure, a former MPD officer.
One of his former fraternity brothers called him a "pillar of the community," saying LeSure coached youth and also was a school resource officer for a time.
This is an ongoing investigation, according to MPD.
