MEMPHIS, Tenn — Memphis police are urging the public to avoid the area near 5300 Knight Arnold Road after they said a crash that killed one man and injured another took place Friday night.
The Memphis Police Department (MPD) said they responded about 6:30 p.m. and found one man who was dead. Another man was hurt in the crash, but he is expected to be okay.
Memphis police later confirmed speed may have been a factor leading to the crash.
Police urge the public to travel on alternate routes as they work to investigate and clear this scene. As the crash took place during a night of scattered showers, they also want to remind drivers to slow down during rainy weather conditions.
