Music is in the air! The Memphis Symphony Orchestra’s fall season begins Saturday! And this season promises to be better than ever!
This year, the symphony is partnering with the University of Memphis. The partnership hopes to create a premier destination in the Mid-South for music training and performance, while helping the symphony, which has recently faced financial hardships.
New principal conductor Robert Moody says under his guidance, the symphony will perform concerts that span musical genres and eras. “I’m going to try to make sure we create and develop a unique personality between me and the orchestra, and get more and more people in the Memphis community wanting to be part of this great music experience.”
The symphony’s first concert will have a Latin flare!
