MEMPHIS, Tenn. — If you can foster or adopt a pet, Memphis Animal Services needs your help.
MAS officers brought in 65 animals on Thursday and their team is working on rescue for most of them.
"We brought every single one of them in because they did not have adequate access to shelter," said Memphis Animal Service's Director Alexis Pugh. "The temperatures were just too cold to leave them."
Among the 65 animals were ducks, chickens, pigeons, one goat, and one pig.
"This particular impound did have a kind of Noah's Ark manifest to it," said Pugh.
According to MAS, the dogs who were already at the shelter are the ones they need help with.
"There's great ways you can help even if you can't commit long term," said Pugh. "You just need to be willing to be a part of the solution."
If you can foster or adopt a pet, stop by Memphis Animal Services from noon to 4 p.m. at 2350 Appling City Cove.
