MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Memphis Zoo has been honored as a winner in the 2024 Newsweek Readers' Choice Awards for Best Zoo in the U.S.
A total of ten zoos were selected by expert panelists and contributors from Newsweek and voted on by readers as the greatest in the nation.
Memphis Zoo came in second place, ranking just below the North Carolina Zoo and right above the San Antonio Zoo.

Located at Overton Park, the Memphis Zoo houses more than 3,500 animals from 500 different species. You can also learn about animals from the past in their newly opened Dino Park, which features lifelike replicas and interactive displays.
