Memphis Police said they are looking for suspect of a robbery that took place at the Millbranch Express gas station on May 13.
Officers said they responded toward 10 p.m. and were told that a man wearing a gray hoodie entered the store before revealing a handgun out of a backpack to the clerk behind the counter.
This man was also wearing a light-colored mask that covered the lower portion of his face, white sweatpants, black Nike slides and no socks, according to the Memphis Police Department (MPD).
After the suspect showed a gun to the clerk, he reportedly jumped through the window opening and violently grabbed the clerk, according to MPD. This suspect then demanded the clerk open up the register, threatening to shoot the clerk if this did not take place, according to MPD.
The clerk complied and the suspect reached through the window to take the till from the cash register, according to MPD.
The clerk locked the door using the push button controller as the suspect tried to escape with the money from the register, according to MPD. He then forced the door open and ran away, police said.
This suspect is responsible for several business robberies in the Memphis area, according to MPD.
No arrests have been made and this is an ongoing investigation, according to MPD.

MEMPHIS, TN – On May 13, 2024, at approximately 9: 45 p.m., officers responded to a business robbery at 4560 Millbranch Road at Millbranch Express Gas Station.
Officers were advised that a male entered the business wearing a gray hoodie, a light-colored mask covering the lower portion of his face, white sweatpants, black Nike slides, no socks, and carrying a black backpack. The suspect approached the counter and opened the backpack revealing the handle of a black handgun to the clerk behind the counter. The suspect then jumped through the window opening and violently grabbed the clerk. The suspect then demanded for the clerk to open the register, or he would shoot them. The clerk complied, and the suspect reached through the window to take the till from the cash register. The clerk locked the door using the push button controller as the suspect attempted to escape with the money from the register. The suspect forced the door open using force and then fled the scene on foot.
Suspect #1 was a tall male wearing a gray hoodie, a light-colored mask covering the lower portion of his face, white sweatpants, black Nike slides, no socks, and a black backpack.
This suspect is responsible for several business robberies in the Memphis Metro area.
No arrests have been made. This is an ongoing investigation. The photos are attached.
