MLGW office temporarily closes after vehicle strikes utility pole

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Memphis, Light, Gas & Water's community office on Lamar Avenue is temporarily closed after a vehicle crashed into a utility pole Tuesday morning.

The incident damaged a water meter, closing the office for repairs. An MLGW spokesperson said they are hoping the office will reopen Wednesday, Nov. 20. if repairs are finished.

MLGW is directing customers to community offices in downtown Memphis, on Shelby Drive and in Millington if they need to an alternative location.

A reminder was also posted, telling customers that they can make payments or arrange payments via MLGW My Account.
