Memphis police have identified a woman who was found stabbed to death in Binghampton. Sulema Luna Tornez, 31, had been stabbed several times.
It happened Tuesday at the Woodcrest Apartments on N. Hollywood. Police were called to the scene about 5:15 p.m. They found Tornez on the hallway floor, stabbed several times. She died at the scene.
Residents told Local 24 they’re nervous, and wanted to remain anonymous for their safety. “I saw the yellow thing, so I was like is there any crime. I was so really curious, like what is going on. It was like here, and I was like maybe something wrong here, so I was really surprised.”
Police believe the victim knew her killer. This is homicide #10 in Memphis for 2017.
