SHELBY COUNTY, Tenn. — Memphis-Shelby County Schools (MSCS) has confirmed all schools and office buildings in their district will be open Wednesday, Jan. 24.
That includes Hamilton K-8, which remained closed Tuesday due to water issues, and Kirby High School, which dismissed early Tuesday due to burst pipes.
Winter weather arrived in Memphis and the Mid-South Jan. 14, and many areas ended up seeing several inches of snow. Ice then came Thursday, Jan. 18, shutting down much of the city.
