MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Memphis Fire Department (MFD) responded to a reported fire at Norris Road Elementary School on Friday, Nov. 15.
Crews arrived at the scene at 1490 Norris Road around 7:30 a.m.
Officers from the Airways station helped with traffic control in the area, according to the Emergency Communications Bureau.
MFD officials say there was no active fire in the building. The school has been experiencing air conditioning issues, and a temporary cooler set up outside began smoking.
No injuries were reported, and students are still expected to return to class as usual.\
