An Olive Branch, Mississippi, family is desperate to find their missing son. The family of 14-year-old Aubrey Peal believes a predator used a video game messaging app to lure him away from home.
Aubrey Peal was last seen around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday. Wednesday morning, he was gone. The family called police after noticing his bedroom window was open and he had taken his cell phone, a charger, $100, a backpack, and a portable hard drive.
Aubrey’s parents discovered that he had been using a video gaming messaging app called “Discord.” The family believes Aubrey was talking to a predator on the app and was lured away from home.
“My plea is to bring my son home. Leave him, leave him at a gas station. I don’t care where you leave him. I’ll get him leave my son somewhere. Let him call me. I will get my son,” pleaded father John Peal.
Aubrey’s heartbroken mom, Alicia Peal, can barely contain her tears.
“What mastermind brain washed my child to leave? ‘Cause he is so smart. He is so strong. He’s my rock,” she said. “Please. Please just drop my baby off. Anywhere. I’ll go get him. Please don’t hurt him. Please don’t hurt my baby.”
Aubrey’s parents told Local 24 they talk to both of their kids about the dangers of online predators. They said Aubrey doesn’t have close friends and he spent most of his time playing video games and talking to other gamers.
They are convinced someone took him.
Olive Branch Police Chief Don Gammage told Local 24 he has every detective on the case. If you’ve seen Aubrey Peal or have any information, call police.
