MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man is facing charges after deputies found a woman dead in a wooded area Sunday evening in southeast Shelby County.
Deputies responded to a welfare check in the 7000 block of Peppermill Lane just after 5 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 20.
Upon arrival, SCSO discovered a woman's body in the woods behind a backyard fence.
Tevon Rose, 24, has been charged with first-degree murder, abuse of a corpse, tampering with evidence and resisting official detention.
